Tagmarshal Wishes Good Luck to Partner, Whistling Straits, As Ryder Cup Host
With excitement building in the golf world, as we’re a day away from one of golf’s most popular events, the Ryder Cup, eager fans on both sides of the Atlantic will be analyzing teams and players and supporting and cheering on their chosen squad.
Yet, eyes will also be focused on the site of the iconic event – Whistling Straits in Wisconsin, one of golf’s most challenging and scenic golf courses. Tagmarshal, a long-term partner of the complex, extends its best wishes to Director of Golf, Mike O’Reilly and his team, who have spent months preparing for the event following a year’s delay due to the pandemic.
“Without a doubt, Whistling Straits is on every golfer’s bucket list as its conditions, variety of challenging holes, spectacular views, and the overall player experience, is remarkable and a testament to Mike and his team’s work ethic. A round of golf at Whistling Straits is special and the Ryder Cup this year promises to be exceptional,” said Bodo Sieber, CEO, Tagmarshal.
Whistling Straits is not the only Tagmarshal partner preparing for this event. Future Ryder Cup hosts include partners The Golf Course at Adare Manor (Ireland) in 2027, and host for the second time, Hazeltine National in 2029. In addition, several other Tagmarshal partners have previously hosted the Ryder Cup both recent and historic, including Pinehurst, East Lake, Kiawah Island, Valhalla, and Le Golf Nationale in France.
“Our goal at Whistling Straits is to improve the experience for our guests while maximizing our revenue potential and Tagmarshal has helped us to do both. We have reduced our labor expense on the golf course, increased our round capacity, and realized many operational efficiencies utilizing Tagmarshal,” explained Mike O’Reilly, Director of Golf Operations, Kohler Golf.
All of these courses offer both professional and amateur golfers a challenging round. What makes each one truly unique is the way in which they’re managed with Directors of Golf and Head Golf Professionals who have embraced technology. They have instituted systems and processes to continuously improve and optimize their course operations season after season – ultimately resulting in exceptional player experiences for their members and guests.
“Our responsibility is to deliver on the expectations of our players on a daily basis and do it with tact. Tagmarshal has allowed us to do that, it does the work for us and gives us the data to refer to,” said Chandler Withington, Director of Golf, Hazeltine National, site of the 2016 Ryder Cup.
“Tagmarshal values long-term partnerships and appreciates the collaboration that comes with working with some of the best minds in golf, including the teams at Bandon Dunes, Erin Hills, East Lake, Kiawah Island, Baltusrol, Cog Hill, Olympia Fields, Pinehurst, Boca West, Calusa Pines and many other leading operators. Their shared learnings and insights help to drive the innovation of our on-course optimization technology and adds invaluable benefits back to the industry and the game of golf,” Sieber noted.
Tagmarshal, the market leader in on-course optimization technology, provides courses with full, real-time operational oversight and reporting, giving golf operators the tools to manage operations effectively, adding significant bottom-line value, with partners routinely achieving ROI of $100k to +$300k in additional green fees or member gains – this includes mid-tier daily fee courses.
