Tagmarshal introduces Dr Dan Parkinson at 2015 PGA Show

Tagmarshal MD Craig Kleu will be teaming up with the tech companies newly appointed US Sales director to host Tagmarshal’s presence at the PGA Merchandise show in Orlando, Florida January 2015.

The show, the biggest sales expo of its kind, will see approximately 30,000 people through its gates between 20 – 23 January and Tagmarshal will be present for the first time with a booth of its own.

Kleu one of the founders of the ground breaking golf technology says “The US is extremely important in the context of the global golfing industry. With close to 15,000 courses we view it as our primary opportunity.”

He adds, “Over the past seven months we’ve added to our footprint by putting together a local sales team (headed up by Dan Parkinson) and begun establishing a growing customer base, including the likes of 2017 US Open host Erin Hills.”

Tagmarshal are excited to announce that Dan Parkinson MD from Alpine, Utah has taken up the position of Director of Sales for North America. Dr. Parkinson brings a wealth of experience in the golf industry and a passion for the game. Parkinson is a retired orthopedic surgeon who spent the first 17 years of his career in the US military as an Army surgeon.

A veteran of the first gulf war. He has played golf competitively since a young age and was a member of the BYU golf team and also played on the Army golf team. He has a daughter who is a PGA professional and a son who is a highly ranked college player.

Craig Kleu explains “Dan has been instrumental in introducing Tagmarshal to such notable groups as the PGA tour’s TPC courses and Billy Casper Golf Management. He understands the US golf market and understands Tagmarshal. His goal is to make Tagmarshal’s pace of play solution the standard throughout the industry.”

Dr Parkinson believes  “Too many players and course owners have given up on the pace of play problem which plagues golf. This attitude contributes to a poor golf experience and the decreased number of players in the game. It is our job to educate and inform these important members of the golf industry.”

“Innovative technologies like Tagmarshal will provide the tools to combat this trend and once, the key role players understand the intuitive nature of our product and the unique capability of differentiating between slow and delayed groups, they will not hesitate in making Tagmarshal an important aspect of day to day operations.” adds the former Army surgeon.

The simple integration of the technology will put to rest the arguments over who or what is at fault for slow play and the player will be better informed and understand his role in maintaining a proper pace.

The Tagmarshal North America Director of Sales says “The game for many will be fun again and courses smart enough to take advantage of our technology will be able to market improved playing times with data to back up their claims. From here it gets better and better for Tagmarshal, players and course owners.”

Parkinson concludes, “We have a unique opportunity to make a profound improvement in the game we love and it starts now!”
